4 Shipment and on-site trans-
port
The work described in this section is only to
be performed by personnel appropriately
qualified to carry out such tasks.
4.1 Accepting the delivered
goods
After receiving the shipment, proceed as fol -
lows:
1. Compare the shipment received with the
delivery note.
2. Check the shipment for transportation
damage. Report any damage to SAM -
SON and the forwarding agent (refer to
delivery note).
4.2 Removing the packaging
from the thermostat
Do not remove the packaging until immedi-
ately before mounting and start-up.
1. Remove the packaging from the thermo -
stat.
2. Check scope of delivery (see Fig. 4-1).
3. Dispose of the packaging in accordance
with the valid regulations.

4.3 Transporting the thermo-
stat
− Protect the thermostat against external in -
fluences (e.g. impact).
− Protect the thermostat against moisture
and dirt.
− Observe the permissible transportation
temperature of –30 to +80 °C.
4.4 Lifting the thermostat
Due to the low service weight, lifting equip -
ment is not required to lift the thermostat.
4.5 Storing the thermostat
Risk of thermostat damage due to improper
storage.

Observe the storage instructions.

Avoid long storage times.

Contact SAMSON in case of different
storage conditions or longer storage
times.
