Maintenance
Maintenance is only allowed to be carried out by trained staff.
Diaphragm valves are low-maintenance parts. They have to be checked and maintained periodically. These
periods are depending on working load and have to be defined according to valid rules.
Warning
Pressurized fittings! Risk of serious injury or death!
Only work on a depressurized system.
Attention
Hot system parts! Burns! Only work on cooled down plant.
Attention
Maintenance and servicing activities only by trained specialist personnel. SED accepts no liability for damage
caused by improper handling or external influence. In case of doubt, contact SED before commissioning.
1. consider suitable protective equipment according to the regulations of the plant operator.
2. Shut down the plant or part of the plant.
3. secure against restarting.
4. depressurize the plant or plant section.
The operator must carry out regular visual inspections of the ball valves in accordance with the operating
conditions and the hazard potential to prevent leaks and damage. The ball valve must also be disassembled and
checked for wear at appropriate intervals.
6.1. Wear parts
The diaphragm is a wearing part and is subject to natural wear.
The actuator of the diaphragm valve is low-maintenance, provided that the regulations of these operating
instructions for use are observed.
The actuator, the medium diaphragm and the valve body are available as spare parts.
