SETTING UP AND USE

•  Instal the pump in the drum and screw the threaded ring in the 
drum;

•   Connect the air hose to the manometer situated on the pump;

•  Connect the material hose to the pump;

•  Aprire il rubinetto del manometro.

FOR STUBBY VERSION

•  Put the pump in the support; 

•  Screw the suction hose and insert it in the drum;

•  Carry out the same operations as stated above for long version.

NEW EQUIPMENT WASHING

Each pump is tested in our plant using light mineral oil. I f the 
fluid which must be pumped isn't compatible with the one used 
for the testing then it's advised to flush out the pump before use.

SETTING UP

WORKING

Check all the fittings for connection of the different 
components (pump, flexible hose, etc.) before 
using the equipment

Always avoid working the machine with the 
vacuum pump, without liquid to suct: a pump in 
this situation starts to accelerate the stroke till 
to reach an excessivespeed and it will seriously 
damage the pump.

•  Open the air feeding;

•   Be sure that the distributing valves are opened;

•  Adjust the pressure regulator to obtain from the pump for few 

seconds 5 to 20 cycles per minute;

•  The pump only needs few strokes to start sucting. Nevertherless, 

in  a  big  installation,  can  be  necessary  to  run  the  pump  for 
different minutes, in order to fill all pipes;

•  Use always the lowest necessary pressure to obtain the result 

required;

•  When  the  pump  is  used  for  transfer  of  feeding  operations 

without distributing valve, the pump starts working when the 
air is supplied;

•  In case an air pipe line or a distributing valve is used, release 

the valve to exhaust the fluid pressure in the pipe.

The pump accelerates or works too rapidly.

SOLUTIONS

Immediately stop pumping and check the feeding of the fluid 
pumped. If the fluid pumped tends to dry or to harden, fill

•  Grease periodically the piston rod.

•  In  case  of  maintenaince  intervention  on  the  motor,  please 
provide to grease the mechanical parts.

MAINTENAINCE INSTRUCTIONS FOR PACKING GLANDS

The seal between pumping rod and gasket is guaranteed by an 
adjustable  packing  gland.  Tighten  the  packing  gland  without 
forcing, by turning it clockwise in case of possible leaks. Replace 
the packing gland if the leaks do not stop.
