Cancel
Used to abort a transaction in progress. All current items are removed.
GENERAL
HALO Amount – High Amount Lock-Out ; This is the maximum amount accepted when the Cancel
key is used.
Manager Required? – Operation requires input of manager password to complete operation.
CANCEL
Print Receipt – Check this option if you wish to print a receipt when Cancel is performed.
Check-Cashing
Use the CHECK-CASHING key to exchange a check for cash outside of a sale.

Currency Conversion
If you normally accept currency from a neighboring nation, you can program the S
AM
4POS to convert the
subtotal of a sale to the equivalent cost in the foreign currency. Only a cash tender is allowed after touching a
CURR CONV key. Change is calculated and issued in home currency.
CURRENCY CONVERSION
Currency Symbol –
Rate – The value of foreign currency can be express in two ways: foreign currency in US dollars, and
the inverse, US dollars in foreign currency. For example, a Canadian dollar may be worth $.70 US.
The inverse of that value statement would be that a US dollar is worth $1.428571 Canadian dollars.
Look for the rate expressed as US dollars in foreign currency (i.e. $1.428571 as in the example above)
and enter that value in this field. Note: this field can contain 8 digits, with the decimal in any position.
For example, you can enter 4 digits, the decimal, and four fractional digits.
Change In Foreign Currency – Select whether any change from an over-tender is issued in foreign
currency (Y) or home currency (N).
Currency Rate Decimal Position (0-6) – enter a number from 0 to 6 to indicate the decimal position.
Linked Drawer # – Select the drawer to be opened on foreign currency tender transactions.
Destination
Destination keys are used for Eat-In/Take-Out/Drive-Thru identification. They are typically used as a subtotal
function however, you can set destination to be required at the start of a sale as well in the General Option
programming.
Touch a destination key to record the amount of the transaction in the Eat-In/Take-Out/Drive-Thru total on the
financial report. Tax calculation can be changed to accommodate different tax rules for eat-in sales. Sales
cannot be split between eat-in and take-out.
TAX EXEMPT
Check the Tax Rates (1-10) you wish to exempt when this destination is used.
DESTINATION
Price Level – The default setting is NONE. Alternately, you can Select a price level to be associated
with this destination.
