Basic Operations

Sam4POS 6600/4800II Operators Manual v2.9

Manual Weight Entry

1.

Enter the weight using the decimal key.

2.

Touch the

SCALE

key to display the weight.

3.

Register the open or preset PLU.

Auto Scale Entry

1.

Place the item on the scale.

2.

Touch the

Auto-Scale PLU

item on the touch screen or real-keyboard.

Tare Weight

A tare is the amount of weight accounted for by the container or packaging. By entering a tare weight (as
required by law in some areas) the weight of the container is subtracted and only the true weight of the
product is measured on the scale. Tare weights are programmed in:

Program Mode → Options → Tare Weight

Auto Tare Weight

1.

Place the item in the container on the scale.

2.

Touch the

SCALE

key to display the weight.

3.

Register the open or preset PLU.

4.

The PLU is registered

(minus the weight of the Tare)
