CARE AND CLEANING
Cleaning
1. Unplug the appliance, and remove shelves.
CAUTION:
Failure to unplug the appliance could result in electrical shock
or personal injury.
2. Wash the inside surfaces with a warm water and baking soda solution.
The solution should be about 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of baking soda
to a quart/litre of water.
3. Wash the shelves with a mild detergent solution.
4. The outside of the appliance should be cleaned with mild detergent and
warm water.
5. Wring excess water out of the sponge or cloth before cleaning the area
of the controls, or any electrical parts.
6. Wash the outside cabinet with warm water and mild liquid detergent.
Rinse well and wipe dry with a clean soft cloth.
7.
DO NOT
use harsh chemicals, abrasives, ammonia, chlorine bleach,
concentrated detergents, solvents or metal scouring pads when cleaning,
as some of these items may damage the appliance.
Power Failure
Most power failures are corrected within a few hours and should not affect
the temperature of your appliance if you minimize the number of times
the door is opened.
Long-Term Absence
•
Leave the appliance operating during absences of less than three weeks.
•
If the appliance will not be used for a longer period, remove all items,
unplug the power cord and clean and dry the interior thoroughly.
To prevent odour and mold growth, leave the door open slightly:
blocking it open if necessary.
