2. Do not open or change any parts by yourself. Please refer to a qualified electrical
service department or return to the supplier if servicing is necessary.
3. Always remember to unplug the unit from the electrical outlet when not in use
and before cleaning. Ensure that the speed control is set to “0”.
4. It is much easier to clean the accessories directly after they have been used.
Wash them in warm, soapy water, rinse and dry well.
5. The body of the appliance and the stand should be cleaned with a damp cloth.
Do not let water enter the appliance or the stand.
6. Do not use bleach or other abrasive substance or solvents to clean your
appliance as it can be damaging to the finish.
7. Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid, or hold it under a
running tap to clean.
8. To remove stubborn spots/marks, wipe the surfaces with a cloth slightly
dampened in soapy water or mild non-abrasive cleaner. Rinse and dry a clean,
dry, soft cloth.
9. In hard water areas, it is necessary to remove scale, and water deposit markings
in the kettle as this can cause premature operation of the boil dry switch. There
are various kettle cleaners/kettle descalers which remove scale, and markings,
available from supermarkets, chemists, and other stores.
Descaling
Descale your kettle using one of the following options:
White Vinegar
1. Fill the kettle with ½ L of white vinegar
2. Leave to soak for 1 hour without boiling
3. Empty your kettle, and rinse it two or three times with clean water.
Citric Acid
1. Boil 0.5L of water
2. Add 25g of citric acid
3. Leave to soak for 15 minutes
4. Discard this mixture
5. Rinse the kettle with clean water two or three times
