GROUNDED PLUG
To reduce the risk of electric shock this appliance has a grounded plug
(2 blades and 1 pin). If the plug does not fi t fully into the electrical outlet
contact a qualifi ed electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way or use
an adaptor.
HOW TO USE
Any fl at-bottomed pot or container that can be used on a conventional
electric stove element can also be used on the Infrared Cooktop.
1.
Place the Cooktop on a smooth, dry, fl at surface. For proper
ventilation provide at least 4 – 6 inches (10 - 15 cm) of space above
and around the appliance.

Be sure that the ON/OFF Knob on the back left side of the unit is
turned to the OFF position and the Temperature Adjustment Knobs
on the front of the unit are both on ‘0’.
3. Plug into a 120 Volt A.C. wall outlet.
4.
Place fi lled cookware on the burner. NOTE: DO NOT operate the
burner without fi lled cookware on the burner. Always use a pot or
pan that is similar in size to the burner. Center the pot or pan on the
burner.
5. Turn the ON/OFF Knob to the ON position by turning clockwise.
6.
Turn the Temperature Control Knob(s) clockwise to desired setting.
NOTE: #5 is the highest setting. Each burner is equipped with its
own Temperature Control Knob and Indicator Light. The Indicator
Light(s) will glow and go ‘on’ and ‘off’ as the selected temperature is
automatically maintained.
7.
When fi nished cooking, always turn the appliance off by turning the
ON/OFF knob counter clockwise to the OFF position and turn the
Temperature Control Knobs to the ‘0’ position. Unplug the unit from
the wall outlet.
CAUTION:
Allow the unit to cool completely before handling. The
burners will remain hot for at least 1 hour.
IMPORTANT:
• DO NOT preheat before using.
• DO NOT switch on before fi lled cookware is placed on the burner.
