The
VPRO 9000
and
VPRO 5000
dual-channel universal car amplifiers are suitable to drive bass speakers, treble
speakers and wide-range speakers. Either amplifier can be used as a dual or single-channel amplifier. In a bridged connection,
its high output power makes the amplifier ideal to operate sub boxes and sub tubes. It has an adjustable sound switch,
enabling you to set the frequency transmission that best suits your system. To enhance bass sounds, it includes an adjustable
BASS BOOST circuit.
Electronic sound switch
The multiple configuration active sound switch makes the amplifier a universal solution in various scenarios. In wide-range
mode the amplifier can drive traditional car speakers, but it is also suitable to drive only bass or treble speakers.
In low-pass and high-pass mode, the sound switch's cut-off frequency can be adjusted separately between 50–250 Hz
and 15–500 Hz. I.e., in sub-bass (LPF, low-pass filter) mode the frequency range can be adjusted between 10–50 Hz and
10–250 Hz, and in HPF (high-pass filter) mode between 15–15,000 Hz and 500–15,000 Hz. In wide-range (FLAT) mode the
transmitted frequency range is 10–50,000 Hz.
The switches and controls affect both channels in the same way.

Connecting the speakers
Make sure you connect the speakers with the correct polarity. In stereo mode, use speakers with at least 2 Ohm impedance;
in a high-power bridged connection, use a speaker with at least 4 Ohm impedance. This load impedance can be realized by
connecting several speakers, but their resultant impedance must reach the specified value. The unit has connectors for large
diameter (max. 25 mm
2
) cables. In accordance, make sure to use high-power speaker cords.

Connecting the input signal
Use two stereo cables with RCA plugs to connect the LOW INPUT sockets to the sound source (car radio, head unit,
processor etc.). Lead the cable away from power and other speaker cords. If your car radio only has a speaker output
(no low-level line out), you can connect the high-level input labeled HIGH INPUT using the included cable. If your sound
source has both options, it is recommended to use the low-level (RCA) output. You must never connect a signal to both
inputs.
Connecting the power supply
The device needs power over three connectors. The length of the +12 V wire between the battery and the external fuse
socket (not included) should not exceed 50 cm. Locate the fuse socket as close to the battery as possible. The ground wire
should also be as short as possible. Connect the negative pole first. It is very important that this connection have a perfect
ground contact. An imperfect connection can cause noise and malfunction. The power cables should have a diameter of at
least 16 mm
2
(max. 2 x 50 mm
2
). REMOTE cable: min. 0,75 mm
