MAXIMUM VOLUME
All loudspeakers must be adjusted before normal use. For the first 30 to 50 hours of operation, the volume should only be operated at 50%!
Higher volume levels may - in some cases - result in distorted, lower quality sound. This may be caused by an excessively high input signal. To avoid
this, reduce the signal level of the external equipment or, if necessary, the main volume (
VOLUME
). The maximum volume of the system is the one that
can still be heard in good quality without distortion.
● Increasing the volume further will not increase the output power and will increase the distortion of the system! This is detrimental to the speakers
and can lead to failure!
● If a microphone is connected, place it as far away from the sound box as possible to avoid excitation! Do not point the sound box towards the
microphone, as excitation will damage the speakers! When using a microphone, increase the volume carefully and, if you notice any excitation,
immediately rewind the control and, if necessary, move the sound box to another position!
● The device has an automatic noise cut-off. In some cases, mute the speaker to eliminate whirring and noise. Its operation may depend on the
current operating mode, signal source and volume setting.
TONE CONTROL
The tone may be adjusted individually on the control panel of the sound box and on the remote control. Note that different signal sources and different
volume levels require different settings. Otherwise, the sound quality may deteriorate. Sound effect options: bass (
BASS
) and high (
TREBLE
) tone
controls on the control panel and
EQ
tone controls using the
EQ
button on the remote control: EQ 0…1…2…3…4…5.
● The controls do not modify all signal sources and work differently depending on the current function!
● In MP3 mode, the EQ settings can be operated with the remote control. "In case of '
EQ 0
', the high/low controls on the control panel can be used.
For other EQ settings, the high/low controls are ineffective.
● In BT mode, the EQ setting is inoperative, but you can use the high/low controls.
● In radio mode, none of the tone modes are available. (The EQ button steps the stations.)
WIRELESS BT CONNECTION
The unit can be paired with other units communicating under the BT protocol within a range of up to 10 metres. You can then listen to music played on
your mobile phone, tablet, notebook and similar devices. Select the BT function by briefly pressing the
MODE
button, the text
BLUE
will appear on the
display. Place the device to be paired near you and search for nearby devices with BT wireless connectivity, including this speaker, as described in its
user manual. Connect the two devices together. Once successfully connected, the BT indicator will stop flashing and can be read continuously. The
desired programme can then be heard on the speaker. The playback application of the device playing the music (e.g. on a mobile phone) can usually
be controlled remotely by briefly pressing the
/ /
buttons on the control panel and remote control.
● One speaker can be paired with one BT device at a time.
● If the wireless connection is lost, if necessary, press the MODE button until the BT function is accessed again and the pairing mode is reactivated.
If necessary, switch the voice box or BT mode off and on again on the mobile device.
● If a phone call is received on the connected mobile phone while listening to music, music playback is paused. Start playback after the conversation
if it is not automatically resumed.
● The actual range depends on the other device and the environmental conditions. (e.g. walls, human bodies, other electrical appliances,
movement...)
● Abnormal operation or noise may be caused by nearby electrical appliances, this does not indicate a malfunction of the device!
● Abnormal operation may be caused by the specific characteristics of the external device, this does not indicate a malfunction of the equipment!
The BT function may occasionally be limited depending on the external device.
● If you are listening while charging, there may be occasional mains noise in the speakers. This equipment is designed to operate on battery power,
recharging after use is recommended.
● TWS mode (PLAY/TWS button): two audio boxes of the same type and with the same BT name can be paired. In this case, the two sound boxes
are able to play the right and left sound channels in a wireless stereo sound system. Connect your phone to the sound box. Then press and hold
the PLAY/TWS button on both speakers for about 3 seconds until the ON message is readable. The two sound boxes will be connected in stereo
mode. One volume control adjusts the volume of both.
● If the PLAY/TWS button on one of the speakers is held down, the stereo mode is switched off after the OFF message is displayed.
USING THE RADIO
Select the
FM
radio mode with the
MODE
button. The display shows the reception frequency. Press and hold the
PLAY
(
) button on the control
panel for about 3 seconds to start automatic tuning and storage. When tuning is complete, the unit will tune to the first radio station found. Additional
stored programmes can be accessed by briefly pressing the
NEXT / PREV
(
) scroll buttons. The display will show the programme positions
P
01...P 50
for the current radio station.
Pressing and holding the scroll buttons on the remote control will start a station search, which will stop at the first reception position found. By briefly
pressing the same buttons, fine tuning can be performed. If you want to start automatic tuning with the remote control, press the
U/SD/SCN
button. You
can also step through the stations already stored by using the numeric keys on the remote control or by pressing the
PLAY
(
) key.
● The search will stop if it detects changing signal strength - this does not always mean a radio station has been found.
● The reception of the radio depends largely on where it is being used and the current reception conditions.
● Do not place large metal objects or electrical equipment near the device!
● Carefully unplug the telescopic antenna on the back and adjust it to the best reception direction. The positioning of the equipment also affects the
quality of reception.
MP3 DOWNLOADING FROM USB/
microSD BACKUP
The player is ready to play when the device is switched on. Carefully insert the
USB
or
microSD
memory and the device will automatically switch to
MP3 playback mode and start playing. If necessary, use the
MODE
button to activate this function.
The display will show the number of the current programme and the elapsed time, as well as the number of the song when stepping. Press the button
to start playback,
but it will also start automatically when the external device is inserted. You can also use the same button to pause playback
(
PAUSE
) or to select the desired programme using the step buttons
. Pressing and holding the latter will operate the library structure, if there is
one on the storage.
