47

Data

This menu is used to configure the data exchange with another device (Personal Digital Assistant, PC, etc.).

On the 

Others

 menu, please select the 

Data

 parameters menu and validate.

You may then:

-

send or receive images, sounds etc either using a different compatible phone or from a PC installed with "My Pictures and 

Sounds" (available from www.planetsagem.com), or

-

exchange contacts, events and tasks with your PC by means of the Wellphone software (page 36).

The 

Speed

 menu enables you to select the speed to be used for data exchanges via your phone's serial port. Except for 

specific requirements, it is advisable to stick to the default setting: 

Automatic

.

Contrast

This menu is used to adjust screen contrast.

On the 

Others

 menu, please select the 

Contrast

 menu and [

Select

].

A test screen allows you to adjust the contrast by means of the 

 

 or

   

 keys and enter.

Energy saving

This function is used to deactivate the screen backlight and to select the economic mode.

On the 

Others

 menu, please select the 

Energy saving

 menu and [

Select

].

Backlight:

 choose one of the options given: Full backlight, Screen only, and validate.

By deactivating the screen backlight, you increase the battery life of your phone.

Warning:

 display legibility is reduced.

Eco. mode:

 choose one of the options given: Deactivate, Complete, and validate.

When choosing the economic mode, the screen goes out (standby mode).

To quit economic mode, press the 

 key.

Note:

 if you selected an animation in the 

Display/Screensavers

 menu and activated the economic mode, this will be 

activated as the priority and the screensaver will not appear.

Short cuts

This menu allows you to allocate functions to the programmable keys.

This menu allows you to customize the settings of your phone to make it as convenient as possible for you to use.

On the

Select the key that you wish to modify and validate.
