Always switch off at the power outlet and
unplug the appliance from the power outlet
before cleaning.
REMOVABLE FILTER
The Sage
®
Smart Kettle™ features
a removable mesh filter to remove scale
deposits for cleaner water. To clean the scale
deposits from the filter, remove the filter by
opening the lid and sliding the filter up and
out of the kettle.
The filter can be cleaned by placing under
running hot water and rubbing with a
cleaning cloth or brush. To replace the filter,
simply slide the filter down into the slot
behind the spout of the kettle and push back
into position.
NOTE
The filter could become damaged with
time, so please check regularly and
replace if found damaged.
REMOVAL OF MINERAL DEPOSITS
Mineral deposits in tap water may cause the
kettle interior and water window to discolour
over time.
We recommend the use of a proprietary
de-scaler such as the Sage
®
Kettle Cleaner
to remove scale build up and stains.
SAGE
®
KETTLE CLEANER
Directions for use:
1.
Add 125ml of Sage
®
Kettle Cleaner
to 2 litres of water.
2.
Fill kettle with mixture on
a protected surface.
3.
Bring kettle to boil and let stand for
30 minutes.
4.
Clean spout by using a cloth dampened
with Sage
®
Kettle Cleaner, rub well.
Then wipe off.
5.
Bring the kettle to boil for a second time,
then empty solution.
6.
Fill kettle with fresh water and bring
to the boil, discard boiled water. Now
your kettle is ready to make your next
cup of tea or coffee.
TO CLEAN THE EXTERIOR
The outside of the kettle should be wiped
with a damp cloth then polished with a soft,
dry cloth.
NOTE
Do not use chemicals, steel wool, or
abrasive cleaners to clean the inside
or outside of the kettle.
STORAGE
Ensure the kettle is switched off, clean
and dry before storing. Ensure that the lid
is closed and locked securely into place.
Wrap the power cord around the power cord
storage under the power base. Stand the
kettle upright on the power base. Do not
store anything on top.
