SETTING RECORDER TIME
When your device is charged, you can set the time and date. Note - please wait until the
charging is done to do this step, or the time you set will be off by several hours.
Your device must be ON when you want to access your files on your PC.
1. Connect the USB cable to your device.
2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to your computer. Please do not use a USB hub as
your device may not work properly.
3. Turn ON the Power Switch on the back of the device.
4. Use your Remote Control, aim at the front of the device and press the Red Power Button.
The blue status light should appear.
5. Your computer should now recognize your device. It will behave like any other external
storage device. Note: the first time you access your device, your computer may install
standard drivers. This is normal.
You are now going to use the TIME.TXT file you downloaded from our website.
6. OPEN the TIME.TXT file on your desktop using a simple text editor on your computer.
For Windows, use NOTEPAD. In Mac OS X, use TEXTEDIT.
7. In this file is the date and time. Please adjust the numbers to the current date and time. Do
not make any changes to the punctuation or space included in this number.
For example, if you are changing the date and time to 3:30pm on Feb 22, 2013, the file will
look like this:
2013/02/22 15:30:00
Please note the space, the punctuation and the 24 hour clock.
YEAR(SLASH)MO(SLASH)DY(SPACE)HR:MN:SC
8. Save this file.
9. Now, COPY this file from your desktop.
10. Your Clock Camera should appear as an external drive. Open that folder.
11. PASTE the TIME.TXT file into your device. The Clock Camera will use this time and date
the next time you turn it on, which you should do now or your time and date will not be
correct.
12. Use the Remote Control. Press the Power Button. The blue status light should go dark.
13. Turn OFF the main power switch.
14. Unplug the device from your PC.
