The Safescan 235 is a “low maintenance” device. For optimal lifespan make sure to turn off the device after usage.
Gently remove dust from the LCD screen and infrared camera with a dry and soft cloth.

problem
The device remains off.
The device is on, however
the image on the LCD screen
remains black.
The image on the LCD screen
still remains black.
Solution
Check if the power adapter is
correctly connected. Use only the
power adapter enclosed.
Adjust the image settings with the
[Brightness] key(8) and [Contrast]
key(9).
Press the [MODE] key (7) to exit the
mouse camera function.
Cause
No power.
The image settings are wrong.
The Safescan 235 has an optional
connection possibility for compat-
ible mouse cameras. This device is
activated by pressing the [MODE] key.
When no mouse camera is connected,
pressing the [MODE] key will cause a
black image on the LCD screen.
