VEHICLE MOUNTING SEQUENCE
3.1
Set to distances shown below:
Use Dimensions A for 2 Crossbar models.
Beginning with the Rear Crossbar, position it on the vehicle’s
roof, then proceed to Step 3.2 to tighten the Rear Crossbar
Mounting Brackets in place. Place the remaining Crossbar(s)
onto the roof and set according to designated dimensions
shown below, but do not tighten. Proceed to your Feature
(FEA) Assembly Manual if required.

Place a 19mm or 3/4”
open end wrench onto
the Z Plate Cam
3.3
Using the wrench, rotate the
Z Plate Cam to raise and
engage the Z Plate into the
vehicle’s roof gutter.
Keep the Cam Lobe at its
highest vertical position and
inline with the Mounting
Bracket for Steps 3.4 & 3.5
Refer to the respective FEA Assembly Manual(s) included
with your chosen rack configuration features. Depending
upon the features chosen, you may need to perform a
complete feature assembly onto the Crossbars as noted in
that feature’s Assembly Manual.
WARNING: Failure to position the Crossbars as shown in this
FBM Assembly Manual may result in damage to the vehicle
and/or ladder rack.
NOTE: Base, Clamp Down, or Rotation features are not
included in this FBM kit, and must be purchased separately.
