Installation
Transport lock
Press the steering ring down to unlock/lock the transport lock. Always
visually check the catch is fully engaged. A red dot on the steering
ring and an arrow on the static column show the location of the
transport lock. When the pedestal is operated the transport lock is
positioned in the unlocked position.
!
WARNING! A pressurized pedestal will rise rapidly
when the transport lock is released. Do not lean over
the pedestal when releasing the transport lock.
Mounting the fluid head
The CI pedestal accepts a Sachtler fluid head with a 75mm (3”)
flat base. To mount the fluid head the ball base centre stud must
be removed (see the fluid head user guide for instructions). Align
the three threaded holes on the ball base with the head fixing bolts
retained in the top plate of the pedestal and tighten.
