TROUBLESHOOTING
NORMAL FLUCTUATION IN AIR TEMPERATURE
Please note there will be some fluctuation in temperature of heated air during normal operation of the
heater and should not be regarded as a fault. This is due to the automatically resetting thermostat
which limits the temperature of the discharged air.
FAULT FINDING PROCEDURE
This should only be carried out by a Compex qualified electrician. The heater contains a manual-
reset thermal limiter, 3 input fuses and 3 motor fuses which in the event of a fault may stop the heater
functioning.v
AIRFLOW RUNS IN WRONG DIRECTION
The heater is supplied with phase cables wired according to the following colour convention:
L1 - BROWN // L2 - BLACK // L3 - GREY
If your supply has phases wired in a different order this will cause the motor to rotate in the wrong
direction. If possible the phase connection in the electrical supply should be changed but otherwise
the phase connections in the plug fitted to the supply cable can be changed ensuring it is refitted in
accordance with the plug manufacturer’s instructions.
