1. Safety instruction
：
1.1 Loose, worn or damaged parts may cause the bicycle to fall over and serious injury may occur as a
result. It is strongly recommended using only genuine S-Ride replacement parts.
1.2 If adjustments are not carried out correctly, problems may occur, and the bicycle may suddenly fall
over, which may cause serious injury.
2. Caution
：
2.1 If gear shifting operations cannot be carried out smoothly, clean the front and rear derailleur and
lubricate all moving parts.
2.2 Be sure to keep turning the crank during the lever operation.
2.3 Grease the inner cable and the inside of the outer casing before use to ensure that they slide
properly.
2.4 A special grease is used for the gear shifting cable. Do not use premium grease or other types of
grease. These may cause deterioration in gear shifting performance.
2.5 Use an outer casing which still has some length to spare even when the handlebars are turned all
the way to both sides. Furthermore, check that the shifting lever does not touch the bicycle frame
when the handlebars are turned all the way.
2.6 Clean the shifter using only water and mild soap. These shifters are nearly maintenance free.
2.7 The gears should be periodically washed with a neutral detergent. In addition, cleaning the chain
with neutral detergent and lubricating it can be an effective way of extending the life of the gears
and the chain.
2.8 Always check the front and rear brake levers for proper operation. If there is interference between
a shifter and a brake lever, rotate one out of the way. Check for proper brake lever operation again !
2.9 Never use lubricants or solvents to install stationary grips.
They provide an axial safety function. For
this reason, they should be mounted in such a way as to make sure they do not slip off handlebar.
2.10 Never ride without the stationary grips.
