• Certified safety barriers have been certified to meet the criteria set forth by the ANSI Z21.88/CSA C2.33 Vented Gas Firep lace Heaters. The
screen barrier affixes to the fireplace and has been approved by a third party testing agency to conform to specific standard s designed to
prevent injury from hot glass. We strongly recommend the use of these barriers to prevent injury to small children, pets and other at risk
individuals in the home.
• Barriers are provided for all units manufactured on/after January 1, 2015 and for most units manufactured prior to January 1, 2015.
• See chart on following page for the appropriate barrier for each unit. (DV insert barriers can be found following the direc t vent insert section.)
• NOTE: All direct vent fireplaces manufactured on/after January 1, 2015 come standard with a certified safety barrier.
