SQUARING THE SAW BLADE AND THE FENCE
See Figures 16 to 19.
•
Unplug your saw.
WARNING: Failure to unplug your saw could result in the saw starting accidentally and cause serious personal injury.
•
Push the saw arm right down and engage the locking pin to hold the saw arm down in transport position.
•
Loosen the mitre lock handle approximately one-half turn.
•
Depress the mitre lock plate and rotate the mitre table until the pointer on the control arm is positioned at 0°.
•
Release the mitre lock plate and securely tighten the mitre lock handle.
•
Put a set square flat down on the mitre table. Place one side of the set square against the fence. Slide the other side
of the set square against the flat part of the blade.
Note: Make sure that the set square is in contact with the flat part of the saw blade, not the teeth.
•
The edge of the set square and the saw blade should be parallel as shown in Figure 16.
•
If the front or back edge of the saw blade angles away from the set square as shown in Figures 17 and 18, adjustments
are required.
•
Using the 8 mm hex key supplied, loosen the cap head screws securing the mounting bracket to the mitre table.
See Figure 19.
•
Rotate the mounting bracket left or right until the saw blade is parallel with the square.
•
Retighten the screws securely and check the angle between the fence and the blade once more.
