you release the trigger. Contact with a  rotating
trimmer head could cause personal injury.

OPERATING THE TRIMMER

not in working position.
Switch the trimmer on before the line makes contact
with the grass and ensure the line is not touching
stones or debris.
Turn the line trimmer on by pressing in the lock-off
button (2) then squeezing the trigger (3).  Once the

button compressed.
Start off slowly, when you have gained experience, you
will be able to use the line trimmer to its full potential.

CUTTING TIPS
Lawn Edging (Fig. 7)

When the trimmer is used for lawn edging, pull

the rotating release (12) and rotate the trimmer
head 180 º.

Adjustable angles (on RLT3725CH only) (Fig. 8)

On RLT3725CH model, press on the foot pedal (14) and
the motor housing (13) can be turned to achieve
different angles for cutting less accessible or more
awkward places. Five different angles can be selected.

Cut the grass by moving the line trimmer from right to
left, left to right with the line parallel to the ground and
proceeding forward slowly.  Keep the trimmer inclined
by about 30°.
On RLT3725CH model, you can put your arm on the
crutch to achieve a more comfortable position.
High grass should be cut in layers, always begin from
the top. The

height of these

cuts should be short.

Do not cut damp or wet grass. Dry grass will give
excellent results.
Always let the line rotate at top speed. Do not work in
such a way as to overload the trimmer.
Avoid wearing the line out quickly by knocking against
hard objects (stones, walls, fences etc.).
Never pass the line trimmer over the electric cable while
the line trimmer is running; make sure the cable is
always in safe position behind your back.
To switch off the line trimmer, simply release the
trigger.

WARNING:

These steps should be repeated every time
before starting work to make sure that everything
is functioning properly and to familiari

s

e yourself

with the line trimmer.

WARNING:

Keep a firm grip with both hands during
operation.

CAUTION:

After switching off, the nylon line will continue to
rotate for a few more seconds.

SAFETY GUARD LINE TRIMMING CUT-OFF BLADE

This trimmer is equipped with a line trimming cut-off blade
on the safety guard. For best cutting, advance fresh lines
by gently tapping the bump head (19) on the ground. Fresh
lines will be released from the bump head and trimmed to
optimum length by the cut-off blade. Advance line
whenever you hear the engine running faster than normal
and when it is apparent the line is worn or broken. This will
maintain best cutting performance.
