Replacement blades, bolts and washer can be ordered
through the Bunnings special orders desk.

 WARNING

Only use replacement blades approved by the
manufacturer of the product. Using a blade not
approved by the manufacturer is hazardous and could
result in serious injury, damage the product, and void
your warranty.

 WARNING

Drain the fuel

fi

rst before tilting the product to replace

the blade.

1.  Stop the engine and disconnect the spark plug lead.

Allow the blade to come to a complete stop.

2.  Turn the product on its side with the carburettor (air

fi

 lter side) facing up.

 WARNING

Make sure that the carburettor is facing up.

3.  Wedge a block of wood between the disc and mower

deck to prevent the disc from turning.

4.  Using a socket (not provided), loosen the disc bolt

by turning the bolt in a counterclockwise direction as
viewed from the bottom of the product.

5.  Remove the disc bolt, lock washer,

fl

 at washer, and

disc.

6.  If any of the individual blades are dull, damaged, or

need replacing, they should be replaced using only
original equipment parts. If any single  blade needs to
be replaced then the complete set of two (2) needs to
be replaced as a set. Failure to replace the blades as
a set may result in an out of balance situation resulting
in damage to the engine.

7.  Loosen the lock nuts on the old blades by turning them

counter clockwise.

8.  Remove the nuts, washers, blades, wave washers and

bolts from the disc.

9.  Reassemble the new blades as shown in Fig. 11.

Ensure that the raised edges of the new blades face
towards the inside of the mower deck once the disk
is reinstalled to the product. If the blades are not
assembled correctly, the grass will not get directed
to the rear of the deck to be caught in the catcher.
Ensure the wave washer is positioned between the
blade and the disc. Ensure the lock nuts are tightened
(clockwise) over the

fl

 at washer and disc, properly

securing the blade to the disc.

10. Assemble the disc

fl

at washer, lock washer, and blade

bolt on the shaft. Finger tighten the bolt by turning in a
clockwise direction as viewed from the bottom of the
product. (See

fi

 gure 11.)

NOTE:

Make sure all parts are replaced in the exact

order in which they were removed.

plastics are susceptible to damage from various types
of commercial solvents. Use clean cloths to remove
dirt, dust, oil, and grease.

Replacement blades, bolts and washer can be ordered
through the Bunnings special orders desk.

Periodically check all nuts and bolts for proper
tightness to ensure safe operation of the product.

Remove any buildup of grass and leaves on or around
the engine and engine cover. Occasionally wipe the
product clean with a dry cloth. Do not use water.

Frequently check the grass catcher for wear or
deterioration.

SPARK ARRESTOR

The product is fitted with a spark arrestor which is
inside the exhaust. Please note that it is suggested
that the spark arrestor be cleaned only by a recognised
service agent.

LUBRICATION

All of the bearings (excluding the engine bearings) in this
product are lubricated with a suf

fi

 cient amount of high

grade lubricant to optimise the lifespan of the product
under normal operating conditions. Therefore, no further
bearing lubrication is required.

1.  Raise the product to full height.
2.  Connect a female water hose connector (not supplied)

to the male hose connector on the mower deck.

minutes, allowing underside of the cutting deck to
thoroughly dry.

Always protect hands by wearing heavy gloves and/or
wrapping the cutting edges of the blade with rags and
other material when performing blade maintenance.
