Folding Aluminium-Shower Seat

The foldable aluminium shower seat provides individuals that suffer from impaired standing stability but with sufficient
sitting stability support during their daily hygiene under the shower. The recess in the seat facilitates intimate hygiene
and avoids the necessity of standing up and/or bending over during bodily hygiene. The shower seat promotes safety and
independence. The seat can be folded up onto the wall when not in use.
Safety Indications
• Users heavier than 130 kg may not use the folding shower chair!
• The folding shower seat must be firmly mounted on a wall in the shower area! This wall must be suitable for bearing
persons weighing up to 130 kg body weight on the seat! We recommend having an expert determine the suitability of
the wall and carry out the mounting!
• The folding shower seat should only be used, if the individual can sit by himself without any aid. It may not be used,
if you are unable to control your sitting balance!
• Only use the folding shower seat, if it is in perfect technical condition!
• Make sure that the shower folding seat is completely unfolded and that the feet are secure each time before using –
otherwise there is a risk of collapse when sitting down!
• There is a bruising hazard during unfolding and folding the seat! There is also a bruising hazard for fingers and hand
when grasping through the opening between the frame and the seat!
• Do not lean too much forward when sitting on the shower seat!
• Do not alter the construction, if not approved by the manufacturer!
• Please observe that in wet shower cabins there is a sliding hazard during sitting down or getting up from the chair –
in particular when using cleansing additives or soap!
• Only use the folding shower seat for its designated use and not as a stepladder substitute or toy!
• Due to the tilting hazard children may not use the shower chair unattended!
Scope
The contents of delivery includes 1 folding shower seat, 1 user manual, 1 packaging and transport box.
Please check the content of the box. In case of visible faults or missing parts, please contact your specialist dealer.
Assembly/Use
The mounting should only be carried out by specialists!
• Check that the scope of supply is complete.
• Make sure that the wall is suitable for mounting.
• Chose fastening material corresponding to the nature of the wall. The screws should be made of rustproof material and
must not exceed a diameter of 6 mm.
• Open out wall brackets and fold open chair legs.
• Determine the height of the mounting and the corresponding seat height adjustment. Please read the section »Adjusting
the Seat Height« for this.
• Mark drill holes in the wall, drill holes in the wall corresponding to the diameter of the screws and provide with dowels.
• Align wall brackets corresponding to the drill holes and fasten screws (but not fully tight).
Attention: The wall plate should still be able to move a little!
• Align wall brackets with the spirit level and tighten screws.
• Fold out seat and align horizontally.
