Umbrella with holder for rollator vital

Item No. 11448 051

black

Item No. 11448 058

checked, beige

The umbrella offers protection from rain in bad weather and shelter from the sun on hot days. It enables you to push your

rollator and apply the brakes safely with both hands.

Safety indications

•  Wind can catch underneath the umbrella and affect the balance of the rollator. Be particularly careful in windy weather.
•  The umbrella is wider than your rollator. You should make sure that the umbrella does not get caught and cause you to lose balance especially in

entrance ways or at traffic lights. Please also ensure that other people do not get hurt by the umbrella.

•   Before opening, closing or otherwise adjusting the umbrella, apply the brakes of your rollator firmly so that it cannot roll away.
•   Please be aware that the umbrella can change the equilibrium of the rollator.
•   The umbrella is fixed to the height-adjustable handlebar and is suitable for the vital 54 rollator and the vital 62 rollator. In the lowest position

of the handlebars on the vital 54 rollator the folded umbrella may obstruct the steerable front wheel if it is mounted on the left-hand side of the

frame. In this case fix the umbrella on the right-hand side of the frame and adjust the umbrella so that it does not obstruct the use of the rollator

even when the umbrella is folded.

Assembly

1.

Loosen the screw underneath the handle (pic. 1). You can fix the holder to the frame with the

screw that has been supplied (pic. 2+3). Make sure the holder fits closely to the hand grip in

order to secure a firm hold.

2.

Push the umbrella into the holder and tighten the fixing bolt well (pic. 4) so that the umbrella is

fixed securely in the holder.

3.

When you put the umbrella up make sure that it is as upright and central as possible over the

rollator. This way it provides you with the best protection. Don’t adjust the umbrella so that it is

away from the rollator. This can adversely affect the stability of the rollator.

4.

When not in use, the umbrella can be folded down to save space and can be unfolded again for use.

To do this, press the button on the corner piece (pic. 5+6). The angle can be adjusted in various sta-

ges. Release the button and turn the pivoting arm to the next stop. The push button then returns to its

starting position.

5.

You can adjust the height of the umbrella to several settings. To do this, press the black button on

the telescopic rod (pic. 7). By extending or pushing the rod together you can select the desired

height.

6.

When not in use, the umbrella can simply be folded down and kept at the side of the rollator

thanks to the pivoting arm (pic. 8).

Storage

If the umbrella is not going to be used for a long time it can be stored folded down with the protec-

tive sleeve over it. Ensure that the umbrella is completely dry before storing it folded down for long

periods.
