Q. What can the Water Urn be used for?
The Water Urn can only be used to boil water.
Q. How much water does it hold?
8.8 litres
Q. I have just opened the box, what should I do?
Remove all packaging.
Place the urn on a dry, heat resistant, flat surface.
Fill it to the MAX line using a jug or manageable size container.
Plug it in and turn the power on.
Flick the switch to the ‘on’ position- the “HEATING” light will illuminate.
Once the water has boiled, the “HOT” light will illuminate.
Empty the Urn. Take care whilst emptying the Urn as the water will be hot. DO NOT try to tip
the Urn to empty the water, always leave it on a level surface and empty through the tap.
This helps eliminate any manufacturing dust and cleans the Urn.
Q. Can I only put water in the Urn?
Yes, no other liquids should be used in the urn unless it is a descaling agent, such as citric
acid, white vinegar, lemon juice or a commercial descaling agent.
Q. There is still space left in the top of the Urn even though I have reached the MAX line, can I just
fill it to the top?
No, the Urn cannot be filled over the max line as it may overflow and spit water when
boiling.
Q. Can I move the Urn once it is full?
No, the Urn will be too heavy and the unsteady load can cause strain or injury.
Q. How do I fill the urn?
Place the Urn in the area you wish to be using it, on a flat heat resistant surface.
Use a jug or hose to fill the urn.
Q. What is boil dry protection?
When water is held at a high temperature it produces steam. The longer it is hot, the more
steam escapes and lower the water level gets.
The element can be damaged when heating with insufficient water.
To stop the element form getting damaged it automatically shuts off when there isn’t
enough water it the unit.
When the boil dry protection kicks in the light on the unit stays on but the unit will not work
until it has been reset.
THE APPLIANCE MUST BE EMPTIED AND UNPLUGGED BEFORE IT CAN RESET
