MOTOR SPEED ADJUSTMENT (SL42AE)
Motor speed is adjustable by turning speed control knob (3) in the appropriate way.
Set the motor speed according to the abrasive material and worked material characteristics.
OPERATION TEST
Switch on the machine and check if there are any excessive vibrations caused by the improper placement of
abrasive material, or working disk plate damage.
If there is, immediately switch off the machine and eliminate abnormalities.
DUST EXTRACTION RATE ADJUSTMENT
Rotate ring (4) to adjust the dust extraction rate.
ABRASIVE MATERIAL REPLACEMENT
Version with a perforated caoutchouc plate.

Press the special handle to open the snap fastener blocking abrasive material (7);

Remove worn out abrasive paper; insert a new abrasive band according to the instructions from the
chapter “Abrasive material fastening“.
Version with Velcro-fastened perforated caoutchouc plate.

Tear off the worn out abrasive paper sheet;

Fix a Velcro-fastened abrasive paper band, pressing it against the working plate;

Make sure that the holes in the abrasive material coincide with the dust extraction holes in the
caoutchouc working plate.
RECOMMENDED ABRASIVE MATERIALS
Abrasive material bands for orbital sanders; for the model with perforated Velcro-fastened caoutchouc plate
use Velcro-fastened abrasive material.
MAINTENANCE
Any operations should be carried out with the power supply cut off. After completion of work and in all
necessary cases remove dust from the machine body using a compressed air jet. In particular, remember to
clean the motor ventilation gaps.
No other intervention by the user is recommended.
Only an authorised Service Centre may perform maintenance operations and the cleaning of internal
machine elements, including: bearings, toothed gears, etc.
LEVEL OF NOISE EMITTED BY THE MACHINE
The level of noise generated by the machine in normal operating conditions is 85 dB, measured according to
the EN 50144 standard.

PROTECTION AGAINST RADIO NOISE
The machines comply with the 89/336 CEE directive (the EMC directive) on protection against radio noise.
