Mic Kill Transmit Test

Set all front panel buttons to off.

Connect a frequency counter an AC meter to the intercom channel 1 output.

Transmit a mic kill signal on intercom channel 1 (tap the CALL button 3 times, then press and
hold the CH 1 TALK key).

Check that the signal on the channel 1 output is between 23.7 to 23.9 kHz at –9.8 dBu ±2 dBu.

Release the CH 1 TALK button.
Call Transmit Test

Set all front panel buttons to off.

Transmit a call signal on intercom channel 1 (tap the CALL button, and while the call LED is
flashing, press and hold the CH 1 TALK key).

Check that the signal on the channel 1 output is between 19.9 to 20.1 kHz at –9.8 dBu ±2 dBu.

Release the CH 1 TALK button.
Call Receive Test

Set all buttons to off.

Reconnect the signal generator to intercom channel 1.

Adjust signal generator to –5 dBu, 20 kHz (check frequency with frequency counter).

Check that the CALL and CH 1 TALK LED’s are flashing.

Attenuate the signal input by 20 dB, and check that the LED’s are still flashing.

Attenuate the signal an additional 10 dB. The LED’s should stop flashing.

Adjust signal generator to –5 dBu, 18.600 kHz.

Verify that the LED’s do not flash.

Adjust signal generator to –5 dBu, 21.400 kHz.

Verify that the LED’s do not flash.

Adjust signal generator to –5 dBu, 19.600 kHz.

Verify that the LED’s do flash.

Adjust signal generator to –5 dBu, 20.400 kHz.

Verify that the LED’s do flash.

Remove the signal generator and frequency counter.
