Screen Menu (F7 Key)
The Screen menu is generally selectable only when an
edit screen is currently open (for example a keypanel edit
screen or a party line edit screen).
Screen, Cancel Screen Chg
If editing a file other than the on-line file, selecting “Can-
cel Screen Chgs” will cause all settings in the currently
opened edit screen to be restored to the settings when the
screen was entered.
If editing the on-line file, selecting “Cancel Screen Chgs”
will cause all changes to the current screen to be cleared,
and the current intercom setup for the screen will be
uploaded from the intercom system.
If editing a force & inhibit table in the System menu, se-
lecting “Cancel Screen Chgs” will cause CSedit to access
the intercom system and get updated information about
what crosspoints are currently closed. Closed crosspoints
will be displayed using check marks
û.
If viewing communication error counters in the Status
menu, selecting “Cancel Screen Chgs” will cause the
communication error counters to be cleared.
Screen, Paste Screen

been copied using Copy Screen. Selecting “Paste Screen”
will cause the copied configuration to be pasted to the cur-
rent edit screen. All settings for all items in the copied
screen will be pasted.

Speed Formatting
Speed formatting is useful when you want to make sev-
eral identical key assignments in a column, or when you
wish to quickly erase all the key assignments in a column.
For example, in many intercom systems, the listen keys
are usually programmed to auto-follow the corresponding
talk key. When the talk key is programmed, the listen key
will automatically receive the same assignment. The fol-
lowing example shows how you can rapidly setup all the
listen keys on a keypanel for auto-follow operation.
1.
From the Keys menu, select “Ports” and press ENTER.
The keypanel pick list should appear.
2.
Select a keypanel from the keypanel pick list and press
ENTER. The keypanel setup screen for that keypanel
should appear.
3.
Move the cursor to highlight the “L” column for listen
key 1.
4.
Select “Auto-Follow” from the “Special Functions”
pick list at the right side of the screen.
5.
Press the “+” key on the computer’s numeric keypad.
“AF” should appear in the “L” column of the key as-
signment table, and the next line in the table should
be highlighted. Press the UP cursor key to re-select
“AF” and again press the “+” key. If you repeatedly
press the UP cursor key followed by the “+” key, the
“AF” assignment should be inserted in every line of
the key assignment table.
6.
To rapidly erase multiple key assignments:
a.
Position the cursor in the key assignment table over
the top-most key in a column that you wish to
erase.
b.
Select the “No Assgn” special function from the
Special Functions pick list.
c.
Hold down the “+” key on the numeric keypad.
Key assignments will continue to be erased until
you release the “+” key.
