INSTALLATION.
Installers are reminded of the British Standard Code of Practice for The
Emergency Lighting of Premises BS5266 Part 1 to which all
installations should comply.
The battery is permanently connected to the printed circuit board which
may be live even though the mains is not connected and the lamps are
not operating. DO NOT TOUCH COMPONENTS OR TUBE LEADS.
CAUTION:
Some components may be too hot to touch immediately
after the mains supply has been switched off.
Installation
Separate diffuser from body by gently pulling apart and remove the
four screws retaining gear tray.
Discard any internal packaging pieces in the base. The body may be
fixed to ceiling or wall by screws through the BESA group of holes
provided. Do not mount directly above a heat source.
Mains cables from the 240V 50Hz supply may be brought in through a
central 20mm hole in the base of the body.
Supply connections
The fitting must be connected to a permanent uninterrupted
supply.
Connect the mains supply to the terminal block on the gear tray
moulding as follows: (The live terminal will be marked L1 or L2
according to the model).
