When using this machine, follow these safety precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury.
WARNING
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1.
Do not attempt to repair or replace any part of your dehumidifier unless it is specifically recommended in this manual. All
other services should be referred to a qualified technician.
2.
If the power cord becomes worn or damaged, the cord should only be replaced by a qualified service technician using
genuine replacement parts. Do not modify the cord or plug.
3.
The dehumidifier should be plugged into its own grounded circuit (13A, 60Hz, 115VAC).
4.
Do not plug other appliances into the same outlet; it can overload the circuit and cause a fire or electric shock. Do not use an
extension cord.
5.
Do not cut or remove the round ground prong from the plug.
6.
This appliance is not designed for use by young children. Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play
with or climb on the unit.
7.
Be sure all packaging materials are removed from the appliances before use.
8.
Do not disassemble or modify the appliance or the power cord.
9.
Do not place the power cord or appliance near a heater, radiator, or other heat source.
10.
Do not use this or any appliance near flammable gases or liquids or other combustibles, such as gasoline, benzene, or thinner.

Make sure the power cord is plugged firmly and completely into the outlet.
12.
Do not start or stop operation by plugging in or unplugging the power cord.
13.
If the appliance is making unusual sounds or is emitting smoke or an unusual odor, unplug it immediately.
14.
Do not use if the electrical socket is loose or damaged.
15.
Do not operate with wet hands or place in water.
16.
Do not use this or any electrical appliance if you smell gas. It can result in the risk of fire or explosion.
17.
Turn off and unplug the appliance before cleaning to avoid the risk of electric shock.
18.
Do not clean the unit with water. Water can enter the unit and damage the insulation, creating a shock hazard. If water enters
the unit, unplug it immediately and remove the water.
