1. Connect the appliance to an earthed socket protected with an earth-leakage circuit
breaker.
2. Now switch on the appliance by pressing the main switch (see Fig. 2, No. 1) and switch
to position I. The flame effect then starts.
3. To switch on the heating function, move the rocker switch with number I (see Fig. 2, No.
2) downwards to switch to the first heating level (approx. 900 W). To reach the full out-
put (approx. 1800 W), also move the rocker switch with number II (see Fig. 2, No. 3).
An odour can briefly form when first put into operation or after a longer period
without heating.
3.3
Switching off the appliance
To switch off the appliance, move the main switch (see Fig. 2, No. 1) to position O.
Now wait until the appliance has fully cooled down and the blower comes to a stop, after
which you can pull the power plug out of the socket.
3.4
Replacing lamps
Only replace a defective lamp if the appliance is switched off and disconnected from the
power source.
