2. Preparing the Product for Operation
2.1 Unpacking the scope of supply
Check whether the scope of supply is complete and free of defects immediately after ope-
ning the packaging. Contact the seller immediately if the scope of supply is incomplete or
defective. Do not put the appliance into operation if it is defective.
2.2 Keeping the original packaging
Keep the original packaging in a safe place over the entire service life of the product. Use
the packaging for storing and transporting the appliance. Only dispose of the packaging
after the product service life has come to an end. You can find information on the proper
disposal in Chapter 8.
2.3
Setting up the appliance
P
The device may only be set up on a secure and stable base. Always ensure
the required minimum distance of 50 cm to all sides, flammable objects and
other hazard sources.
P
The heater must not be set up directly below a wall socket
Before the appliance can be put into operation, it is necessary to screw together all indivi-
dual device parts. Use the Allen key and open-end spanner included in the
scope of supply for this.
1. Begin by fastening the first lower tube sec-
tion (see Fig. 1, No. 3c) onto the weighted
base (see Fig.1, No. 5) by screwing the
screws and nuts into the openings provi-
ded for this on the base.
2. Then pull the decorative cone over the
tube section so as to cover the screws on
the base. Guide the power cable through
the weighted base and the first tube
section.
