WARNING
A loose seat post can cause a crash. Make sure
that the seat post clicks into place when you are
adjusting the seat height. Please also ensure
that the height adjustment mechanism is locked
at all times while you are riding your bike.
You will find more information in the instruction
manual provided by the seat post manufacturer.
Adjusting the seat post with a quick
release lever
The quick release lever on the seat post is not
labelled. You can tell whether it is open or closed
by its shape.
In the figure it is shown in the closed position,
ready for use.
To open the quick release lever, pull it outwards.
Tighten the axle and push the clamping lever
until it is hand-tight.

Lowering the saddle
If you are riding off road, it can be helpful to lower
the seat post temporarily. If your model has this
option, follow these instructions.
To lower the saddle, press the thumb shifter on
the left of the handlebars. Your weight will lower
the saddle. To raise the seat post, press the
thumb shifter again and take your weight off the
saddle. The saddle will automatically rise. You
will not have to pull it out. This means that both
your hands can stay on the handlebars.
