Rack Mount Arms Installation
Notice
— Failure to install both the Support Brackets as described will
void the warranty.
1.
Install the Octane/QMD-X frame into the rack according to the
instructions provided with the equipment rack.
2. Install the Rack Mount Arm (4800FR-755) onto the side of the
Octane/QMD-X frame by fitting it over the locking pins and sliding it
away from the back of the frame to lock it into position (
Figure 2 ).
The end of the Rack Mount Arm should extend past the rear rack rail
by about 1/2 inch (1.27cm).

3. Install the Rail Guide (4800FR-756) over the end of the Rack Mount
Arm so that the two retaining bolts on the Rack Mount Arm pass
through the slots on the Rail Guide ( Figure 2 ).

Use standard rack mounting bolts (not supplied) to secure the Rail
Guides to the rear rack rails.
5. Use the 5/16 Hex Nuts (650-017R) to secure the Rail Guides to the
Rack Mount Arms ( Figure 3 ).
