Storing Registers with DVE Crosspoints
When you store a memory register for an MLE that includes a DVE effect, you
also
automatically
store the DVE’s associated
Aux Bus
crosspoints that are used to route input sources to the DVE. To
store the DVE effect and its associated Aux Bus crosspoints, the following important prerequisites
must be fulfilled:
•
A primary DVE must be connected to the switcher.
•
The DVE effect number (that you wish to store) must be recalled immediately prior to
storing the full effect to memory.
•
The Aux bus must be assigned to the DVE.
Once stored, the effect and its Aux Bus crosspoint can be recalled by pressing the
INCL DVE
button
as part of the recall procedure. Refer to the section “
instructions.
Notes on Storing Registers
Please note the following important points:
•
Whether you are using a “
1+0 DVE
”
or a “
1+1 DVE
”, any
Aux Bus
outputs can be used
to connect the primary DVE’s video and key channels. For definitions of the above
terms, refer to the section “
•
Any
Aux Bus
can be associated with a secondary DVE, but you cannot store secondary
DVE effects.
•
When a primary DVE effect is recalled, the Aux Bus associations with
any device
will
also be recalled. Aux Buses not associated with devices (as determined during
installation) will not be recalled under any circumstances.
•
All Aux Bus
-
to-DVE associations are performed during switcher setup. Refer to the
section, “
Aux Bus Setup
” in the
Synergy Series Installation Guide
, for more
information.
Recalling Memory Registers
This section provides instructions for recalling memory registers from two locations on the Synergy
switcher:
•
Recalling registers using the
Global Memory System Group
•
Recalling registers using the
MLE Memory Group
The procedure is very similar to the storage procedure; however, you have several options for the
“type” of data that you wish to recall. The following two sections provide instructions for each recall
situation.
Recalling Registers using the Global Memory System
For all Synergy switchers, use the following procedure to recall switcher memory registers using the
Global Memory System Group
:
1. In the
Global Memory System
group’s
Recall Section
, select the MLE (or group of
MLEs) that you wish to recall.
•
To enable
all MLEs
for the next recall operation, press
ALL
.
•
To recall
just one
MLE, press the button for the desired MLE.
