Control and Monitoring Features

This section provides information on the power status LED located on the card-edge and the 
LEDs on all rear modules for the Fiber Ethernet Switch Transceivers. 

Card-edge LEDs

The front-edge of each Fiber Ethernet Switch Transceiver includes LED indicators for alarms, 
and communication activity. Refer to 

Figure 9.2

 for the location of this LED on the card-edge.

Each pair of PORT LEDs on the card-edge report on a specific fiber or RJ45 port for your card. 

Table 9.1

 outlines the mapping of the LEDs based on the rear module type.

Note

 — The number of SFP and PORT LEDs that are implemented on the 

card-edge is dependent on your card model.
