Replacing a Matrix or Control Card
You may need to replace a matrix or control card during scheduled maintenance. Before removing a matrix or
control card, you should ensure that the card is not the primary card.
To replace a matrix or control card
1. Open the routing switcher editor (see “ The NK-3G144 Device Tab ” on page 36).
2. Select the Card Details tab.
3. On the simulated NK-3G144, click on the matrix or control card that you want to remove.
If the matrix or control card is the primary card, the Primary Card check box is selected.
If the Primary Card check box is not selected, you can remove the card.
4. If the card that you want to replace is the primary card, click Force Swap-Over .
5. Send the current file to the device (see “ Sending a Configuration File to a Device ” on page 47).
6. Unscrew the screw on the front door of the NK-3G144 (see Figure 7.2 ).

7. Open the front door.
8. Remove the card.
9. Insert the new card (see “ Inserting a Card into the NK-3G144 ” on page 29).
10. Close the front door.
11. Insert and tighten the front door screw to secure the front door of the NK-3G144 shut.
