Risk of skin burns
The food cooked on this appliance, the cook-
ware used and the surface of the appliance
can become very hot.
Follow the safety instructions below to avoid
burning or scalding yourself or others.
l
Protect your hands whenever working
with appliance when it is hot by using
heat-proof oven gloves, oven cloths, etc.
l
Do not place any kitchen utensils, cook-
ware lids, knives or other metal objects
on the hob. Such items can become very
hot when the appliance is switched on.
l
Do not touch the surface of the ceramic
hob when it is hot.
l
The induction hob itself does not heat
up when in use. However, the electro-
magnetic induction heats up the cook-
ware being used and that, in turn, trans-
mits heat to the hob.
l
Whenever using the appliance, remove
all easily combustible objects (e.g. clea-
ners, spray cans, oven cloths, tea-towels,
etc.) from the immediate vicinity of the
appliance.
l
Avoid overheating oils and fats for too
long. Overheated oil or fat can easily ig-
nite.
l
Do not place empty pans on the induc-

Take note of the following safety guidance:

Persons with heightened sensitivity to
electromagnetism should not remain in
close proximity with the appliance for
longer than is necessary.
Induction cooking appliances are fundamen-
tally safe.

heart pacemaker should keep at
least 60cm away from the appliance
when it is in operation. Persons who wear a
heart pacemaker should also consult their
doctor about the safety precautions they
should follow before using the appliance.

Do not place any magnetisable objects
such as credit cards, data storage media
or cassette tapes on or in the immediate
vicinity of the appliance.

Place the cookware centrally on the in-
duction hob. In that way the pan base
