Printing Tests and Cleaning

Before you carry out actual printing, we recommend performing a printing test to ensure no dot drop-out
occurs. If dot drop-out occurs, perform cleaning of the print head (Normal Cleaning).

How to Perform a Printing Test

Note, however, that the left and right positions are not restored to their defaults for test patterns.
If you’re using the separately available media take-up unit, never adjust by pressing

so may pull the media with undue force, resulting in an error or malfunction.

rection cannot be performed properly. In this case, the movement distance of the media becomes
discrepant during printing, causing horizontal stripes.
