Using a VS-100 to Control Logic Pro/Express or GarageBand
Transport Section
This section controls playback of Logic Pro/Express or GarageBand.
1.
[LOOP] button
Press this button to turn Logic Pro/Express or GrageBand’s loop
function on or off.
2.
[VIEW] button
Press this button to display Logic Pro/Express Arrange View.
Also, Mixer View for Logic Pro/Express can be displayed by pressing the
[VIEW] button while you hold down the [SHIFT] button.

These functions are available with Logic Pro/Express.
3. [MARKER] button
Press this button to insert a marker at the current time.

Functions only with Logic Pro/Express.

Press this button to move the current time to the beginning of the
project.
You can move the current time to the previous marker by holding
down the [SHIFT] button while you press the
button.

You can move the current time to the next marker by holding down
the [SHIFT] button while you press the
button.
* Functions only with Logic Pro/Express.
5. button
Press this button to rewind the current time.
You can move the current time backward by one measure by holding
down the [SHIFT] button while you press the
button.

button
Press this button to fast-forward the current time.
You can move the current time forward by one measure by holding
down the [SHIFT] button while you press the
button.
7. button
Press this button to stop the transport.
8.
button
Press this button to start playback.
9.
button
Press this button to start recording tracks that are in recording standby
mode.
ACT Section
After pressing the [ACT] button so it’s turned on, you can control the
gain of the EQ.
1.
[ACT] button
When you press the [ACT] button so it’s on, the button will light, and
you’ll be able to control the gain of the EQ for Logic Pro/Express or
GarageBand using the [R1] through [R4] knobs.
2. [R1]–[R4] knobs
Control the parameters for the gain of EQ.

R1 Gain for Band2 Gain for Band1
R2 Gain for Band4 Gain for Band2
R3 Gain for Band5 Gain for Band3
R4 Gain for Band7 Gain for Band4
3. [CURSOR VALUE] button
Turns on EQ for the selected track (current strip).
