Panel Descriptions
Rear Panel (Connecting Your Equipment)
* To prevent malfunction and equipment failure, always turn down the volume, and turn off all the units before making any connections.
* Be sure to use cables and adaptor plugs with the proper connectors matching those of the other devices you are using.
* Before disconnecting an SD card or a USB storage while the power is on, be sure to eject the media by using the Eject command on this unit
INPUT 1–2 connectors
RS-232 connector
LAN CONTROL jack
These connectors are for video input.
Connect a video device with an HDMI
output connector such as a camera, or
other devices like a computer.
A remote-control device (such
as a computer that supports
RS-232) can be connected
here to remotely control the
P-20HD.
Connect this to a network
device such as a computer
or other network device
to remotely control or to
exchange files with the P-20HD.
* As this port supports GbE, use
a CAT5e LAN cable or higher.

AUDIO OUT L, R jacks
These output the resulting audio mix.
Use these to connect an audio recorder, amplifier, speakers, or related
equipment.
AUDIO IN L, R jacks
Use these jacks for audio input.
Connect an audio mixer, CD player, or other
audio equipment.
DC IN jack
Connect the included AC adaptor to
this jack.
* Use the cord hook to secure the cord
of the AC adaptor as shown in the
illustration.
OUTPUT (MAIN/PREVIEW) connectors
These connectors are for video output.
Connect them to devices such as projectors
or external displays.
* The menu of the P-20HD is shown on
this unit’s display and on the display
connected to the OUTPUT PREVIEW
connector.
HDMI

CTL/EXP 1, 2 jacks
You can connect a footswitch (such as a BOSS FS-6, sold
separately) or expression pedal (such as the EV-5, sold
separately) to this jack. Use this when you want to switch
between video using your foot.
* Use only the specified expression pedal (Roland EV-5, BOSS
FV-500L/FV-500H; sold separately). Connecting any other
expression pedals may cause malfunctions and/or damage
to this unit.

if necessary.
Turns the power on/off.
USB 3.0 port
Connect USB storage such as a USB flash
