*1: XLR connector 1: GND, 2: HOT, 3: COLD *2: TRS takes priority if XLR and TRS are simultaneously input to INPUT 5-8. *3: TRS of INPUT 7/8 turns to unbalanced when Hi-Z is turn on.
* When a REAC Splitter S-4000-SP or a switching hub is used in-line with REAC cables, the network latency will increase by the amount of processing delay introduced by the splitting device itself. The actual delay is dependant upon the
specifications of the splitting device, though the maximum delay amount for a single splitting device should be about 200 microseconds.

Superb Quality, Simple Setup, Flexibility.
The next generation audio transfer technology – REAC.
REAC (Roland Ethernet Audio Communication) is Roland’s original technology. REAC transfers 40x40 of
24-bit uncompressed multi channel audio, level information, and control data over a single cat5e cable. This
digital transfer system eliminates the typical problems found in analog transfer such as signal quality degra-
dation or hums and buzzes. REAC provides not only superb sound quality but also is easy to install and cost
effective using light-weight Cat5e cable.
REAC product line allows system flexibility and expandability
The REAC products are among the best in the industry on their own but
they are designed to work even
better as part of a system, communicating with each other via REAC. This system connection approach
brings superior sound quality, is easy to learn, easy to use and brings all the powerful benefits of a digital
solution.
Ensuring high quality while protecting the environment: Roland is ISO9001 and ISO14001 certified
At Roland, several group companies have obtained ISO9001 certification. In addition, in January 1999, Roland also received ISO14001 international environmental management system certification. We’re actively seeking ways to
maintain harmony with the environment. (ISO =International Standardization Organization: an organization for the promotion of standardization of international units and terms. They provide different categories of certification:
ISO9001 Series certification is a product quality certification for products that undergo a certain level of quality control from the design stage to the after service stage; ISO14001 Series certification is for environment-related
standards. Each member of the Roland Group is striving to obtain certification.)
