~ Using Crop Marks Properly ~
Printing/Cutting Area Changes
When [CROP MARK] is enabled, the printing/cutting area is reduced by an amount equal to the size of the crop marks.
You can preview the printing/cutting area on the Top Menu while pressing [ENTER] key.
Roll
: Only width is shown.
Piece
: Both width and length are shown.
For more information, see "Remove the Printed Material, then Reload the Material and Perform Cutting Verifying the Printing/
Cutting Area When Crop Marks Are Applied."
Area and Position for Printing/Cutting
Margin required for automatic detection and/or sheet feeding is necessary around the printing/cutting area. Data created with
application software has to fit in the printing/cutting area by considering the margin.
Reloading the Printed Material
When material is reloaded as described below, crop marks cannot be detected automatically.
(1) The left and right crop marks are tilted 5 degrees or more with respect to the direction of carriage movement (or the
left and right crop marks are displaced by 20mm (13/16in.) or more in the sheet-feed direction )
(2) The each center of crop marks is not placed within a square of 100mm from the pinch roller on both sides.
In such cases, reload the matrerial so as to satisfy the both of these conditions. For more information, see "Remove the Printed
Material, then Reload the Material and Perform Cutting Adjusting Automatically step 6."
When Outputing Some Sets of Images at A Number of Times
Crop marks can not be detected automatically when you print multiple sets of crop
marks by changing the base points.
To printting/cutting several images at once, place all of them side by side on applica-
tion software, then output them with a set of crop marks.
