Before You Play
Selecting a Mouthpiece
You can switch between the reed-style mouthpiece and the
round-style mouthpiece according to your needs.
This instrument comes fitted with the reed-style mouthpiece out
of the box. To switch to the round-style mouthpiece, follow the
steps below.
Mouthpiece type Characteristics
Reed-style
mouthpiece
A dedicated mouthpiece for the Aerophone
that’s made to resemble the mouthpiece
and reed of a saxophone. You can control the
pitch and other parameters by using the bite
sensor by means of the reed.
Round-style
mouthpiece
A dedicated mouthpiece for the Aerophone
that’s made to resemble the mouthpiece of
a hulusi (gourd flute). This lets you perform
with stable pitch.
* If you use the round-style mouthpiece, the
bite sensor on this instrument cannot be
used. Turn the pitch bite control OFF.

Pull the mouthpiece straight out while holding the
top part of this instrument as shown in the
illustration.
You might need to pull rather hard.
Pull slowly while being careful not to hurt
yourself or others around you.

Insert the mouthpiece of your choice onto the body
of the Aerophone GO.
Insert it so that there is no gap between it and the body of the
main unit.
NOTE

Take care that the front and back of the mouthpiece are oriented
correctly. If you insert it in the wrong orientation, it might become
impossible to remove.

Take care not to hurt your hand on the projection of the screw
that’s inside the reed-style mouthpiece (there is no screw on the
round-style mouthpiece).

When removing or attaching the mouthpiece, take care not to
bend the bite bar.

Wrapping the Band
If you continue playing for an extended
time, saliva from your mouth might drip
down across the instrument and enter the
interior from around the [
Ā
] switch or any
keys.
When playing the instrument, wrap the
included band around it as shown in the
illustration.
Attaching the Neck Strap
Place the strap over your neck,
and attach the hook of the
strap to the strap ring of the
Aerophone GO.
