Familiarize yourself with residual risks and potentially dangerous situations.

The setups given in this handbook, such as specific cable connections and antenna
positions, provide just a few examples of the many possible uses. Rohde
& Schwarz
does not recommend a particular setup.

7.1 Activating the Chamber
As a prerequisite, ensure that all instructions described in Chapter 6, "Installation and
Commissioning" , on page 35 are executed.
Connecting the chamber to power activates it. It does not have a separate on / off
switch.
To activate the chamber
1. Connect the power cable to a mains power socket.
The chamber is activated.
2. After activation, note that operating the door requires an initial referencing proce-
dure.

3. We recommend leaving the chamber connected to power always.
Permanent connection to power helps prolong the life of the integrated lithium stor-
age battery; see
Chapter 9.2.1, "Positioner Loses Absolute Position" , on page 73.
7.2 Deactivating the Chamber
Disconnecting the chamber from power deactivates it. It does not have a separate
[ON
/ OFF] switch.
