If an unambiguous maximum is not obtained in a closed room, for example, the interfer-
ence due to reflections is too high and the site has to be changed.
Reflections and interference occur if electromagnetic waves come into contact with
objects that have a high dielectric constant or are conductive.
In a disturbed environment, direction finding should best be carried out from several sites,
approaching the source gradually (see

figure 3-6 ).
