MagNA lyser Operating Instructions
1. The equipment can be used autonomously by users.
2. In the case of being used for a long time (more than an hour), it is necessary to reserve it on
the reservation sheet that is next to the appliance
.
3. If you have any doubts about its operation, ask the person in charge of this equipment, Lucía
Jordá, laboratory 234.
HOW TO MAKE A RUN
1.
Select a desired speed.
Press the
SET
KEY ONCE, UNTIL THE NUMBER IN THE SPEED
DISPLAY BLINKS. To increase the speed by 100rpm, press the
+
key once; to decrease
it, press the
–
key
2.
Select the desired time of run.
Press the
SET
KEY ONCE, UNTIL THE NUMBER IN THE
TIME DISPLAY BLINKS. To reset the time, use the +/- keys.
3.
After setting both parameters, press the set key a third time to return to operating
mode
LOADING THE SAMPLES
1.
Turn the main power swicht on, when the yellow LED light press the
OPEN
key to unlock
and open the cover.
2.
Load the samples in the MagNA Lyser Rotor
Stand
(Figure
1)
and
arrange
them
SYMMETRICALLY
.
VERY IMPORTANT:
ALWAYS
USE CAP TUBES
.

3.
Place the rotor on the MagNA Lyser shaft. Turn the rotor until the projections on the
shaft fit EXACTLY into the center hole of the rotor.
4.
Put the retention plate (see Figure 2) on top of the
rotor. Rotate until the clamps bolts drop into the
rotor keyholes.

5.
Tighten the three RED SECURING KNOBS CLOCKWISE to their closed position
BY HAND
.
Be sure that they dont move but
PLEASE DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN, AS THE KNOBS
BREAK
VERY EASILY.
