Use
a soft brush to remove any powdery deposits from the
loose coals

If you need to remove the coal bed to dust
away larger particles then it is recommended
that you
first remove the outer case

As you lift out the coal bed
take care that you do not damage it against the pilot
burner and also take precautions
that particles do not
fall on your carpet etc
.
As well as loose coals and coal bed there are a rear
coal and side cheeks

you will not need to
remove but can be dusted in situ after removing the
coal bed

Remove any deposits on the burner with a
soft brush
When replacing the coal bed put it in rear end first to
avoid damage against the pilot

The coalbed is a close
fit in the burner tray
.
Ensure that it is properly located
by sliding it sideways
and front to back. Replace the
loose
coals
.
Place
five
loose
coals
in the front
recesses with their decorative faces forward. Similarly
place the remaining
four loose coals on top of the
recesses formed by the front loose coals and touching
the rear coal

stable and not likely to fall off
