Building Instructions - BUSSARD river survey boat
No. 1196
The full-size:
The original prototype of the Bussard is employed on the wa-
terways in the Ruhr area by the water management authori-
ties to carry out water checks for environmental purposes, to
measure current speeds, to check and maintain channel mar-
kings and for many other different jobs.
The model:
The model is pre-fabricated to such an extent that the only
remaining work is to install a few fittings and the receiving sys-
tem components. It is possible to complete the Bussard in just
a few hours, even if you have no prior modelling experience.
The model is finished in a multi-colour paint scheme applied to
a superb standard. The glazing panels consist of black plastic,
and are fitted individually together with the window frames.
The fittings are to be installed by the customer. They are sup-
plied as individual items, ready to fit. See the following instruc-
tions.
It is possible to complete the BUSSARD in just a few hours,
even if you have no prior modelling experience.
RC installation:
The ideal location for your selected receiving system compon-
ents may vary widely according to the number of units and the
boat's working systems.
The boat's Centre of Gravity can be adjusted by re-positio-
ning the drive battery. In general terms the radio system
components should be positioned in such a way that the
completed boat floats level (CWL = waterline).
Adhesives:
robbe Speed Type 1
No. 5062
or
robbe Speed extra-thick
No. 5060
(Please do not use cyano activator when gluing painted
parts!)
Dear customer,
Congratulations on your choice of the BUSSARD from the rob-
be Modellsport stable, which is a scale ARTR model of a river
survey boat to 1 : 20 scale. We are grateful for placing your
trust in us.
Introduction to the building instructions
The building instructions are divided into sub-assemblies,
each of which is sub-divided into individual stages arranged in
a logical sequence.
Each stage also includes supplementary hints and tips which
apply to the procedures currently in hand.
Before you start construction, please read right through the
instructions, referring constantly to the illustrations, so that you
have a clear idea how the model goes together.
In basic terms the part numbers in the drawings and instruc-
tions reflect the recommended sequence of assembly.
Unless indicated otherwise, all measurements are stated in
millimetres.
All stated directions are as seen from the rear of the mo-
del looking forward.
