Alternatively, for lead-acid batteries you can select
a battery voltage in increments of 2 V per cell
using the ‘+’ or ‘-’ button. Press the ‘ENTER’ button
againto confirm your selection.
The following voltages are available to use for lithium batteries:
ENTERING ThE BATTERy cAPAcITy
Press the ‘+ / -’ button to leaf through the screen
display until the arrow indicates Battery Capacity.
Press the ‘ENTER’ button and the ‘+ / -’ symbol
flashes. You can now select the battery capacity in
increments of 100 mAh (PB: 500 mAh) using the ‘+’ or ‘-’ button. Note that the primary
purpose of the battery capacity setting for Lithium batteries is to define the basis for the
1C charge rate for that pack, i.e. the charge current is set automatically to the correspon-
ding 1C charge rate for the battery. The
value also provides additional safety
for the cells. Press the ‘ENTER’ button
again to confirm your selection. The fol-
lowing capacities are available, accor-
ding to battery type.
The range of capacities shown in the
table here are available and depend
upon the type of battery:
SETTING ThE chARGING cURRENT
Press the ‘+/ - ’ button to leaf through the screen display until the arrow indicates Charge
Current. Press the ‘ENTER’ button and the ‘+ / -’
symbol flashes. The charging current can be selec-
ted in steps of 0.1 A. Press the ‘ENTER’ button again
to confirm your selection. The charging current can
be selected in steps of 0.1 A up to 5,0A. The maximum charging current is dependent on
the number of cells or the battery voltage and the maximum charging capacity (max. 2C
for lithium batteries). The charger’s integral processor limits the maximum charge current.
